About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. The successful candidate will provide vital support in managing day-to-day accounting activities and assist in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to gain real-world experience and grow within the Finance field.
Qualification
- Grade 12 with a major in Accounting.
- Higher Certificate/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with data entry, reconciliations, and invoice processing.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Help with financial reporting and cost management.
- Free up time for the Finance Manager to focus on more complex financial analyses.
- Contribute to tax preparations and audits.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Desired Experience
- 1-2 years of accounting experience (internships or entry-level experience preferred).
- Familiarity with routine accounting tasks, such as reconciliations, data entry, and invoice processing.
- Experience supporting month-end and year-end financial close activities.
